We have a fun & tasty Christmas morning tradition. It consists of playtime with new toys from Santa, a delicious breakfast casserole, cheese grits and an all day viewing of A Christmas Story on TBS. We extend a heartfelt invitation to all friends and family to drop in for coffee & brunch and we always welcome steady stream of visitors throughout the morning and early afternoon.

I only make our Christmas morning menu once a year, but I am seriously considering making it on other special occasions, too. It's just too good to only enjoy it once a year. Also, I'm adding a new recipe to our Christmas brunch this year, Amy's Banana-Chocolate Chip French Toast. CLICK HERE for the recipe.

Breakfast Casserole
- 12 eggs
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb bacon
- 1 lb sausage
- 8-10 pieces of bread
- 2 tsp salt
Spray large pan with Pam. Cube bread and spread in pan.
Cook bacon & sausage. Drain.
Beat eggs & milk in bowl. Add salt, cheese, bacon & sausage.
Pour mixture over bread. Cover with foil & refrigerate overnight.
Bake next day at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until thoroughly baked.

Cheese Grits
I used to fancy this recipe up with milk and maybe an egg, but now I just cook my grits according to package directions and throw in a garlic cheese roll*. Delish!
*Kraft no longer makes their garlic cheese roll (bummer!), so I plan on substituting 6 oz of Velveeta & some garlic powder.
Enjoy!

Your cheese grits will be on my menu for Christmas morning! I will be thinking of with each bite! I also like your breakfast casserole recipe better than the one I have. I can't wait to try it! Merry Christmas! Love you!
