Dossier To China (DTC)
Our dossier was mailed to China TODAY!

What Happens Next?
Once our dossier is received by the
GWCA Beijing office, it will be hand delivered to the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) to be registered. CCAA will then issue our official Log In Date (LID). It typically takes CCAA approximately six to eight weeks to send GWCA our LID. They will notify us immediately upon receipt of this information.

Our dossier will move through the following three steps after it is registered in China.

1. Translation: The CCAA must translate all dossier documents from English to Chinese. This typically takes one or two months.
2. Review Room: The individuals who prepare our dossier for the Matching Room will review our entire dossier for eligibility requirements. This process usually takes three to four months.
3. Matching Room: Finally our dossier will move to the Matching Room! It is here that we will be matched with our child.

The current time between LID and referral is 16 months. We can expect to travel to China 6-8 weeks after the receipt of Janie's referral. Please think happy thoughts for us during this 18 month wait for our new baby girl.

Congratulations on being DTC. It's hard to imagine how excited you must be. I know you can't wait for Janie's referral. Hopefully Charlotte Grace's won't be too far behind!
