Poor Brown. He came limping home this afternoon and scared me half to death. I frantically called our vet for advise about his swollen paw, but barely missed him. Jason promised that he would have Brown at the vet's office by 7:30 a.m. in the morning. Jillian has been saying "Poor Cat" all night. She is going to be a worrier! I have often been criticized for my lack of originality when naming Brown. For the record, his name is "Lavender Brown". Both he and Cedric are named after Harry Potter characters. When Brown arrived at our house around midnight in June 2005 he was near death. Jason and I couldn't determine his gender because he was so tiny. His name would have been Lavender if he were female or Brown if male. We love this old cat!
